South Simcoe Police and security personnel will be teaming up with the OSPCA Saturday (Aug 27) to inform and keep an eye out for pets left in hot cars at the Cookstown Outlet Mall.

How big can a boathouse be in Innisfil?
That was an issue brought up by a resident at Innisfil Council.
Her neighbour is in the midst of building what she says is a massive boathouse, and her concerns were not only aimed at the boathouse ruining her view from her cottage.

South Simcoe Police pulled over a car for speeding around 730am Wednesday (aug 24) on the 20th Sideroad in Lefroy.
When the officer approached the vehicle, he detected the aroma of alcohol.

The K-9 Unit finds an illegal firearm.
South Simcoe Police say a 47 year old Cookstown man was taken into custody after a loaded .45 calibre pistol found in a home on the 5th Sideroad
The cops say the man had taken the firearm from his father's gun safe after an argument.
